1.1 These terms and conditions relate to your application to participate in a talent search
competition provisionally entitled “Prime Quest Talent Search” also referred to as "Prime Quest". The promoter is Spotlight Ent Limited of 5th Floor 89 New Bond Street, London, England, W1S 1DA (the
1.2 The Promoter intends but does not undertake to record the competition with the intention of
creating a television and YouTube series of the competition, provisionally entitled “Prime Quest”
2. How to enter
2.1 To enter the competition, you must fill out an application form online at http://primequest.co.uk
(the “Website”) and pay the entry fee of £1 (the “Entry Fee”). Applications close at 11:59pm GMT
on March 10th 2018 (the Closing Date).
2.2 All competition entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than the Closing Date. All
competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified and still will be charged.
2.3 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
3. Eligibility and criteria
3.1 The competition is only open to all residents in Great Britain (for the avoidance of doubt this
competition is not open to residents in Northern Ireland), except:
3.1.1 employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
3.1.2 employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary
companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its
3.1.3 members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
3.2 If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain written parental or guardian consent to enter
this competition and claim your prize. You must be accompanied by your parents or legal
guardians at each stage of the competition. Proof of age will be required.
3.3 By entering the competition, you confirm that you have the right to be in the UK and to perform
in the competition and on the Programme. You further confirm that if you are selected as the
winner of the competition, you are free to enter into a production/distribution deal without
restriction with the Promoter. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are
eligible to enter the competition.
3.4 You must provide the Producer with advance written notice if you intend to use any form of
equipment in the competition. You will be responsible for bringing and insuring such equipment
and ensuring that it is safe. Pyrotechnics and/or flammable equipment is not permitted.
3.5 Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not permitted. Acts who perform as a group only need to make one submission.
3.6 The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you at any stage during the competition if your
conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.
3.7 By entering this competition, you confirm and undertake that you will be ready, willing and able
to attend and perform at each stage of the competition. You will notify the Promoter as soon as
practicable if this changes.
4. The auditions
4.1 All applicants who have successfully completed an application before the Closing Date and paid
the Entry Fee will be invited to attend an audition (the “Auditions”). The Auditions will take place
between 19th March 2018 and 23rd March 2018 and the Promoter will invite you to attend one of
these audition dates at a time and location to be decided at the sole discretion of the Promoter
whose decision will be final and binding.
4.2 The Auditions will be judged by an initial panel of industry experts. The industry experts will then go on to select a maximum of 80 contestants from the Auditions to progress to the next stage of the competition (the “Boot Camp Elimination Events”). The decision of the panel of industry experts (acting reasonably) will be final.
5. The Boot Camp Elimination Events
5.1 Four Boot Camp Elimination Events will take place between 23rd April and 27th April 2018. If you are
chosen to progress to this stage, you will be invited to a Prime Quest Seminar and to perform at one of the Boot Camp Elimination Events, the time and location of which shall be decided by the Promoter in its sole discretion, such decision will be final and binding.
5.2 The Boot Camp Elimination Events will be judged by a panel of four judges (the Main Panel). The Main Panel of judges will select a maximum of 16 candidates in total (i.e. 4 candidates will be selected from each Boot Camp Elimination Event) to progress to the semi-final of the competition (the “Semi-Final”). The decision of the Main Panel of judges (acting reasonably) will be final.
5.3 Success at the Bootcamp Elimination Events will also see you invited to a private seminar and workshop in early May. Here you will have the opportunity, in an intimate setting, to get expert advice and constructive criticism from industry professionals to prepare you for the main events.
6.1 The Semi-Final will take place on 21st May 2018. If you are selected to progress to this stage, you
will perform at a time and location to be decided at the sole discretion of the Promoter whose
decision will be final and binding.
6.2 The Semi-Final will be judged by the Main Panel with a guest judge. The Main Panel will select a maximum of 9 candidates to progress to the final of the competition (the “Final”). The decision of the panel of the Main Panel (acting reasonably) will be final.
7. The Final
7.1 The Final will take place on 28th May 2018. If you are selected to progress to this stage, you will
perform at a time and location to be decided at the sole discretion of the Promoter whose
decision will be final and binding.
7.2 The Final will be judged by the Main Panel and the winner will be chosen based on their 1. Talent 2. Stage presence 3. Interaction with audience 4. Confidence 5. Execution. The decision of the Main Panel (acting reasonably) will be final.
8. The prize
8.1 The prize is a cash prize of £10,000 and a production, distribution or career enhancement deal (whichever is most appropriate) with the Promoter.
8.2 The prize is not negotiable or transferable. If you elect not to enter into the Production, distribution or career enhancement deal with the Promoter, you will not be entitled to receive the cash prize and an alternative winner will be selected by the panel of judges. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility, nor shall you be entitled to any form of compensation (financial or otherwise) if you are not able to take up the prize.
8.3 The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf and may not be assigned or transferred.
9. Winner announcement
9.1 The winner of the competition will be announced at the Final and shall be posted on the Website
on 28th May 2018 (Announcement Date).
9.2 The decision of the judges nominated by the Promoter is final and no correspondence or
discussion will be entered into.
9.3 The name and county of the winner of the competition will be viewable on the Website from the
Announcement Date for a period of one month.
10. Limitation of liability
10.1 Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any
circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any
loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of entering the competition and/or
taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or
distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
11. Performance consents
11.1 By entering the competition, you are irrevocably granting all consents necessary for the
Promoter to film and record your performances throughout the competition and to use
recordings featuring your image and/or voice in connection with the Programme and/or ancillary
rights in the Programme and to exploit the same in all media throughout the world in perpetuity
without the need for payment to you.
11.2 You confirm and undertake to enter into any further agreements with the Producer in respect of
your involvement in the competition and appearance on the Programme.
12. Data protection and publicity
12.1 By entering the competition, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and town
or county of residence for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes of the
competition and/or the Programme.
12.2 You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter in
connection with the competition and/or the Programme.
12.3 By entering the competition, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the
competition entry may be held and used only by the Promoter or its agents and suppliers to
administer the competition.
12.4 You will not disclose, publish or discuss with any third party any information relating to the
competition and/or the Programme, your appearance in the competition and/or the Programme
or any participants in the competition and/or the Programme which may come to your attention
save where such information is already in the public domain.
13.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
13.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
13.3 A list of names of the judges can be viewed on the Website from the Closing Date for a period of one month.
13.4 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
